Louise Nevelson Night Presence IV

Sculptor Louise Nevelson gifted the city of New York the Cor-Ten Night Presence IV, to celebrate her 50th anniversary of living in NYC. Before the city honored her with her namesake plaza, the artist created the piece, saying “New York represents the whole of my conscious life and I thought it fitting that I should give it something of myself.”

It moved around the Upper East Side before settling at 92nd Street.
