KiKi Smith in Times Square

Public art in New York is getting better! Opening today in Times Square will be a new installation by the legendary Kiki Smith. “Chorus” is a massive free-standing stained glass window, which will glitter in the sunrise (and tourist camera flashes), and is a tribute to Josephine Baker.

The piece is part of a temporary public art project by the Art Production Fund. Art Nerd will be sure to brave the droves of Spring tourists in Times Square to get some exclusive pics for you, because that’s how much we love you (although your crying makes us drink).

The piece will be in Times Square today until September 4th.

Who: Kiki Smith

What: “Chorus”

Where: The Last Lot, 46th Street and 8th Avenue
