Edgar Oliver at Participant INC
Participant INC makes me happy. They’ve been around since 2001, but I just feel like they are in the art game for the right reasons. Maybe its because they are a non-profit? I don’t know. But their mix of programming makes me feel that the directors have a vision they can’t help but share with the creatively thirsty city of New York. I love that exhibitions are meshed with performances, and also love to see how the two affect each other. Edgar Oliver, who was an East Village fixture performing at the Pyramid Club, was perform twice this month.
In conjunction with the exhibition, “The Lunar Landing,” by Helen Oliver Adelson (HOA), Edgar Oliver, a playwright, poet, and performer who has lived and worked in New York City for the past thirty-five years will perform monologues on two evenings, Sundays, September 22 and 29, 2013 at 7 pm.
