Art & Celebrities – The New Obsession

So I’m sure you all heard or saw by now, Tilda Swinton was napping in a box at MoMA.

This past Saturday and then again on Monday, visitors were caught off guard when stumbling onto Swinton’ s ‘perfomance piece’, “The Maybe”.

And you can’t seem to throw a rock at celebrity fueled art exhibit without hitting James Franco…just saying.

There seems to be a new phenomenon; people looking at celebrities (complete with their own invisible exhibit card hanging over their heads), looking at celebrities trynna make art.

They seem to be the new ‘status’.  But if it keeps garnering interest in museums/art, I guess I’ll have to let my beef go.
