SHADES Opening @CoreyHelford

We’re excited to check out this new exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery! Fresh concept with many talented artists participating. Our friend Beau Stanton said it was a great experience for him personally to limit his palette in his signature style — here’s a detail to give you an idea. We love the idea of these artists exploring the monochromatic and can’t wait to see the work in person. We’ll instagram some #shades opening photos tomorrow!

On Saturday, July 27th, 2013, Corey Helford Gallery is pleased to present “SHADES: An Exploration of the Single Palette”, a unique group exhibition featuring an international gathering of top artists from the New Contemporary art scene. “SHADES” explores the boundless emotion and subtlety expressed in the use of shades of only one single color palette. Each participating artist created a new work in his or her style, resisting the use of multiple colors and exploring the rainbow of choice within the variations of a single color. The collection of works is an amazing viewing experience with each piece bursting through the canvas, vibrant with the creative force of limitation.
