PHOTOS: Take it or Leave it #TIOLI
The Hammer Museum has one of the best museum shows up in Los Angeles right now!! #TIOLI is a walk through appropriation art and institutional critique memory lane with a laundry list of seminal artworks by several living and passed art stars. The show include stunning, thought-provoking, work by Gretchen Bender, Mark Dion, Andrea Fraser, Robert Gober, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Jenny Holzer, Mike Kelley, Barbara Kruger, Louise Lawler, William Leavitt, Sherrie Levine, Glenn Ligon <3, Paul McCarthy, Allan McCollum, Martha Rosler, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Christopher Williams, and David Wojnarowicz. You have to really get into what it conceptually means to critique the institution and/or consumer media culture over the last 20-30 years to enjoy it [but I know many of you art nerds already know that!] Overall, its a very well curated exhibition everyone in LA MUST GO SEE!
