Tumbleweed Art Co. rolling across the desert

Tumbleweed Art Co – mobile art gallery of the land.

Tumbleweed Art is an art gallery that rolls through the California desert – like tumbleweed.

Curated by Kat and Bill Green the gallery features small works by local, regional, and national artists. The goal is to keep art approachable and attainable to all – that is to say affordable and to encourage collections of small works so that all people can enjoy one of a kind artworks in their lives regardless of budget.

Tumbleweed is ramping up with pop up shows at several desert venues this fall/winter (see dates below) towards a strong 2019 when they’ll be curating a series of shows at Art Trap in Joshua Tree.

Frequently shown within the Tumbleweed collection are works by the gallerists themselves: Kat Green shows colorful abstract works rich with texture that juxtapose the desert landscape perfectly, while Bill Green has created an otherworldly cast of desert characters whose likeness is portrayed on rusty found objects and convey scenes and scenarios of sweet, contemplative and often amusing political satires.

Tumbleweed is a valuable, next level addition to the thriving high desert art scene – catch them on your next Joshua Tree excursion.
