“Home: My San Francisco” Opening Tonight at AIA!

The San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Architects is opening a new gallery tonight titled Home: My San FranciscoCurated by Julie Blankenship with photographs by Julie Sadowski, the show examines the unique living spaces the citizens of San Francisco have made for themselves, and how those spaces have been forced to change.

The gallery features 12 photographs, but the exhibit also has an online component that showcases dozens more photographs, architectural drawings, videos and texts that build a narrative between the varying neighborhoods and buildings, and the histories of their residents.

Home: My San Francisco focuses in on the role that design and sustainability play in the domestic environment, and the dramatic changes that recent fast-paced economic growth has brought to the city.

The gallery will be on view till October 31st, and is opening tonight at AIA from 6-8pm. RSVP here
