If you’ve been taking Polaroid pictures in San Francisco, then we have the perfect project for you to be a part of.  Polaroid SF, that really superb website that shows San Francisco through the lenses of vintage Polaroid camera, has been chosen to design one of the 2015 Hearts of San Francisco and needs our help.  Polaroid SF wants to create a heart using hundreds and hundreds of Polaroid images taken across San Francisco.  So if you have Polaroids of the city lying around – whether they are new or old, good or bad – Polaroid SF would love to have them!

Here are the rules:

  • Photographs must be an actual “Polaroid” photo.  No copies of other type of photo print.
  • Polaroids must have been taken within the city limits of San Francisco.
  • No questionable content (c’mon, this is for a piece of PUBLIC art).
  • White framed Polaroids only (sorry, no Impossible Project skins, etc.)
  • No Instax Mini shots
  • There is no guarantee that every picture received will be used (but they’ll try) and no photographs will be returned (sorry).

If you’re interested in participating, you have until September 5th to send in your pictures.  Just email Polaroid SF at polaroidsf [at] gmail [dot] com and they’ll give you the details of where to send your Polaroids.

All the Hearts of San Francisco will be unveiled in December and displayed across the city throughout 2015.  They will then be auctioned off in a fundraiser for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.
