Young New Yorkers: the raging party and the silent auction

Next Wednesday, add a new piece to your collection from Swoon, David Hockney, Shepard Fairey, Miss Van or Gaia, while also supporting Young New Yorkers, an incredible program that creates arts-based programs for incarcerated 16 and 17 year olds. The party starts at 6 and rages til 10 at the Joseph Gross Gallery! Great artists, great drinks and a great cause.

Join us April 1st at Joseph Gross Gallery for our nearly yearly Silent Art Auction featuring the work of over 60 local and international artists!

The auction will be online as well at https://paddle8.com/

Young New Yorkers: New York is one of only two states that arrests and sentences 16- and 17-year-olds as adults. Each year, 25,000 16- and 17-year-olds are prosecuted as adults in New York City, leaving them with a criminal record that affects their ability to get a job, an education and housing. Young New Yorkers provides court-mandated arts-based programs that allow participants’ cases to be sealed upon completion. In addition, each program culminates in an art exhibition of the participants’ art works, giving members of the criminal justice system an opportunity to re-meet these young people beyond their rap sheets.
