The Real Bust of Sylvette

Like I’ve said before, Picasso never showed his mug in New York, but despite being internetless, the art world was heavily influenced by him the world over. Now is your chance to see the real Bust of Sylvette, rather than the 60 ton concrete copy. Picasso’s bust (actually there are three) are much much smaller- and made from bent metal and paint. They may not wow you like a 30 foot sculpture in the middle of Noho might, but they are still pretty neat.

They are shown as part of the Guggenheim’s Picasso Black and White exhibition, on display until January.
