Tenth of Always with Andy Warhol and Candy Darling

Tenth of Always (currently The Madelyn) was a happening gay afterhours restaurant in the heart of the Village, frequented by Andy Warhol and Lou Reed. The place was run by the mob, attracted a very young gay crowd (with rumors of a prostitution ring), and it was here that Candy Darling first set her eyes on Warhol, when she was working as a dancing waitress in the wee hours. Soon after, Taylor Mead took Warhol to a play that Darling was in, and then a friendship was born. Darling soon became the newest Warhol starlet.
