Richard Woods Facade

The façade of this Gianni Intili-designed home has been painted with faux-wood doodlings by British Pop artist Richard Woods. The home was subject of a Bravo TV show called “9 By Design,” which follows the renovations  and flipping of high end Manhattan real estate by Bob and Cortney Novogratz  (and their seven children). The couple are also avid art collectors, and wanted to bring Wood’s quirky cartoony work on building facades to the United States, so they ordered and installed these embellished planks. The house is on the noisy West Side Highway, walk by during a leisurely walk through Greenwich village and is just down the street from a great nautical themed bar called The Rusty Knot.
