Photojournalist Miki Kratsman talks the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Get your photojournalism fandom on next Monday, with acclaimed Israeli photographer, photojournalist and activist Miki Kratsman. Kratsman will lecture on May 9 at 6:30pm at CP Project Space, 133/141 West 21st Street in New York City.  The lecture jointly presented by SVA’s MA Curatorial Practice program, Artis and the International Center of Photography will include an introduction by department chair Steven Henry Madoff, followed by an artist presentation and conversation with ICP curator Maya Benton. Kratsman is devoted to documenting the evolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its consequences on the daily life of the Palestinian population. Covering the West Bank and Gaza as a photographer for the Israeli newspapers Ha’aretz and Hadashot for more than thirty years, Kratsman’s work focuses on the humanity of the conflict and can be used as a tool for change.
