Party Celebrating Sculptors Guild’s 80th Anniversary on Halloween Set to Stun

Mark it down: 5-9 pm on Tuesday, Oct 31st – Jim Kempner is the place to be, where Sculptors Guild will be holding its 80th anniversary gala honoring sculptor Lin Emery. This storied nonprofit organization has supported a wide berth of talented artists through the years and only continues to grow, so it’s no surprise that this 80th anniversary party is sure to be a fun ride! Stunning works by guild artist members will be available during the gala’s silent auction portion of the evening, while refreshments will be available and complemented by the melodies of jazz-blues musician Woody Mann. There’s sure to be something for everyone!

The event honors sculptor Lin Emery, based in New Orleans and renowned for her kinetic public artworks. Her sculptures, she remarks, are “kinetic…and I borrow natural elements — wind, water, magnets.” Her work, Fleur de Lis, will be for auction at the gala event. In addition,Honorary Committee members Scott Broadfoot, Jan Garden Castro, Bonnie Pfeiffer Evans, Carole Feuerman, Susan Fischer, Michael Manjarris, Maria Nevelson, Renata Schwebel, Richard Temperio, Hans Van De Bovenkamp, and Fred Wilson are supporting the event. So come out and give a hearty toast to 80 years of Sculptors Guild, in anticipation of 80 more to come! Tickets are limited availability and can be found on the organization’s website: www.sculptorsguild.org
