Origami Installations by Mademoiselle Maurice

It’s been awhile since I’d seen any new installs cropping up from French paper artist Mademoiselle Maurice. But she’s at it again, this time she papered Angers, France with her colorful origami installations for the ARTAQ 2013 festival. The large-scale outdoor installations created an opportunity for the town to get involved – the 30,000 pieces of origami used in the installations were made by the people of Angers in the months before the festival.

Two installations were put up on The Saint-Maurice cathedral—a geometric pattern on the front gate and on the front steps. A third installation was placed on the banks of the Maine river. Her installs are definitely on my must see list.
