Off the Rails with Station to Station, part II
Editor’s Note: We are pleased to present a series of Art Nerd ‘On the Inside Tip’ posts by Stacy Conde! Stacy spent the better part of September 2013 on Doug Aitken’s Station to Station cross-country train and we are fortunate to have her share her behinds the scenes tour experience on Art Nerd City Guides.

At last: our historic nine-car Station to Station Express. The train was comprised of meticulously refurbished vintage rail cars. Train producer Adam Auxier killed it!
We were giddy as we navigated the narrow passageways between train cars. We hoped that we’d get better at walking a straight line while the train was moving… maybe by Santa Fe?
We spent most of our time in the Super Dome, our dining car. Chef Leif Hendendal prepared lunch and dinner for us using seasonal produce and humanely raised heritage breed animals procured from local farms and ranches along our journey route.
