Nick Walker- BRIDGES at Ilegal Mezcal

British street artist Nick Walker has spent the last few years hopping between his hometown of Bristol and New York, leaving his mark on our great city during his months here. His large scale murals, often featuring his iconic character Vandal, have become a favorite for locals and visitors to snap pics in front of (especially Walker’s pieces that declare his love for New York City.) Aside from murals, the stencil artist also creates equally interesting studio work, both on canvas and paper.

Walker’s latest exhibition, BRIDGES, opened last week at the new clubhouse for Ilegal Mezcal in partnership with The Rose Bar, which is tucked away in the picturesque West Village at 31 Perry Street. The exhibition features Walker’s signature hand-cut stencil paintings- ┬áhonoring each one of the gorgeous historic bridges connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn and Queens. Along with the original canvases is Walker’s latest print, TMA Brooklyn, whose sale benefits the Coalition for the Homeless.

Ilegal Mezcal’s new headquarters, which is part venue, part gallery, is open to the public – check out their hours here. Walker’s BRIDGES is on display through November 30. For sales, reach out to
