Michael Tischler’s New York

I love getting lost in the architecture of New York. I find it to be a transcendent experience that I never quite get tired of. Tomorrow night marks the opening of Michael Tischler‘s limited edition runs of Manhattan cityscapes- each image excites me and makes me glad I am home.

The Michael Tischler Limited Edition Image collection brings extraordinary New York City scenes to life on large-scale, archival aluminum. With each print limited to just one, it shifts the paradigm for artists working in all media. The series showcases Tischler’s unique cityscapes, and his incredible ability to capture light and color through a high-level mastery of HDR photography. The one-off prints average approximately 44 x 63 in. size (and 43 x 90 in. for panoramic images), and include everything from the fascinating geometric patterns of skyscrapers and subways, to deeply moving and vibrant images taken from the observation deck at One World Trade Center, in addition to other iconic Manhattan sites. Every one of them reveals a moment in time—a moment that cannot, and will not, be recreated thanks to Tischler’s very deliberate philosophical decision to limit each image to only one print.
