Leftfield on Ludlow
Two things I love : art and drinking. There are many places around the city to get your drink on while checking out some art. A new kid on the block is Leftfield on Ludlow- which is just down the block from the Nick Walker piece on the corner. Formerly Bar 87, the venue has cheap happy hours, live music and dancey DJs (sometimes I throw a party there called Holy Mountain. for now). They also celebrate local artists, and have already built up quite a collection of pieces from New York area artists, including my friend Ian Kuali’i.
The lower level dance floor and bar is finally open, with a site specific Ian Kuali’i mural for everyone’s partying pleasure.
