It’s No Love Sculpture
I always thought that Curved Cube was some sort of company insignia, not a sculpture. But obviously that isn’t the case, or I wouldn’t be writing about it now. Compared to Robert Indiana’s Love sculpture a few blocks away, William Crovello’s Curved Cube was installed in 1972. Crovello spent time in Japan, and this piece is said to have been inspired by Japanese calligraphy.
