Guerrilla Girls, Jenny Holzer, Shepard Fairey and Ed Ruscha in exhibition exploring text in visual culture

Opening Thursday, September 13 at 2602 Frederick Douglass Blvd at 6:30pm, VISUAL LANGUAGE features new and existing works from Shepard Fairey, Jenny Holzer, Guerrilla Girls, Betty Tomkins, DFace, Ed Ruscha, Nathaniel Russell, Chad Kouri, Scott Albrecht, Ramsey Dau, Wayne White and Umar Rashid. The exhibition will run simultaneously in L.A. and New York, opening at Subliminal Projects (1331 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles. CA 90026) on September 8 and at FACTION Art Projects (2602 Frederick Douglass Blvd. New York City NY 10030) from September 13. Both shows run through October 6, 2018. Curated in collaboration between Subliminal Projects in East Los Angeles, and newly established FACTION Art Projects in Harlem, New York City, Visual Language is a bi-coastal group exhibition investigating various approaches to the use of words and images in art and Western Culture.
