The New York Public Library is getting hipper – now you can check out a book and take a Selfie.  Yup, they’ve gone digital! Photo booths have been set up at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in Astor Hall and the Mid-Manhattan Library. You can take a snap shot of yourself and it will be emailed to you and uploaded to the NYPL’s website.

The best part is that you can tag the photo with one of the preset ‘taglines’ to show how you use your public library.  I especially love scrolling through the NYPL Flickr account that houses all the Selfie’s that have been taken.
