Arty Anita’s Way
Believe it or not, art is everywhere in Times Square. Anita’s Way, the covered passageway/plaza connecting the Condè Nast and Bank of America buildings, is regularly host of public art exhibitions, performances and arty events. The name itself is also art-related, named for Anita Durst, founder of Chashama– a non-profit connecting artists with pop-up exhibition spaces. (if you’re an artist or curator, you should seriously check them out).
The passageway is part of the Midtown Pedestrian Walkway system that helps commuters cut through busy streets that are often congested with tourists, or to avoid bad weather.
