Tuesday, April 22, 2014 7 – 8:30 pm The Auditorium, Otis Main Campus 9045 Lincoln Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90045 In conjunction with Otis’ Creative Action program, Big City Forum presents a series of four discussions featuring individuals who reinvent social space and redefine how we engage with each other. The third panel scheduled for Tuesday, April 22nd highlights the story behind The Mistake Room, LA’s new independent non-profit cultural institution devoted to an international program of contemporary art and thought. Founder, lead curator, and artist will discuss their collaborative process and the motivations behind developing this experimental site for creative engagement.

Music x sound x conceptual sculptor David Abir, is hosting a closing week for the immersive, hypnotic, monumental work Tekrar Level Four. It’s extraordinary multi-sensory experience and its current incarnation will soon be de-installed so while the closing reception is private, the artist is offering open studio hours from 12noon – 6pm Wednesday – Saturday inside the lower level of THE REEF/ MAKER CITY LA (Formerly LA Mart) at 1933 S. Broadway.

Mauger Modern Art of London presents a VERY special pop-up exhibition this April 25 – 27, 2014 open daily 10am-6pm! Jeff Robb’s first Los Angeles solo show will feature a selection of 24 three-dimensional photographic works and a sculpture from his new series ‘Affinity’. Artist Chad Muska opens up his private studio in Los Angeles to the public for the first time with a ONE NIGHT ONLY solo art show, with work spanning textural painting, sculpture, etc!

On Friday April 25th, pro-skateboarder and artist Chad Muska (@themuska) will open up his private studio space to the public for the first time, with a solo art exhibition titled Alignment. Muska has been working out of Werkärtz Studio for the past year, building and experimenting in unconventional art materials and applying them to both hanging wall pieces, and sculptures. Muska has decided to open up his personal studio he transformed into a gallery atmosphere and invite the public in to see the large level art installation he has created. While the opening is one night only, Friday, April 25, studio visits by appointment are encouraged throughout the week of April 21, leading up to the show.
