Art Nerd New York | Los Angeles

Kenny Scharf #Karbombz

Art Nerd LA will have a series of amazing Kenny Scharf posts this week, we may as well name it “The Art Nerd LA Week of Kenny”! Our LA Studio visit last Thursday was amazing and there are so many cool things to report on and share with you! (I mean seriously amazing, #bestartnerdladayever). Today, I share with you the Kenny Scharf #karbombz.  An amazing development since May/June 2013, predominantly in LA, but can be seen elsewhere like in Mobile, AL and possibly NYC.  Kenny and his team said they have done about 35 total as of late so if you’re into it, get one soon!!  I’m obsessed with having my own Kenny #Karbomz so I’ll be working on getting a cool classic artnerd-worthy car for him to do later this summer!

I was lucky to see two #Karbombz made while I was there! A cute little yellow Volkswagen Jetta and a massive Ford Explorer SUV. The drivers of both cars were both pretty young so I’m not 100% certain if they understand how epic their new ride is, I’ll try and provide a good overview of Kenny Scharf in art history for “The Art Nerd LA Week of Kenny” to help everyone catch up 🙂

Happy Owner!!

This kid with the giant black SUV lucked out big time, he got a Volcano, Dinosaur, Swirly Sea, Palm Trees and an awesome Saturn.  I’m pretty jealous if you can’t tell but can say the larger the car the more amazing Scharf shapes you will get!!
