Doni Silver Simons @ Museum of Tolerance Tonight 6:30pm!
This one night only event is Wednesday, November 9 from 6:30-9:00 PM. Debuting at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles the performance will be a powerful artistic exploration of humanity’s lack of transparency in the darkest of times.
Doni Silver Simons’ latest work builds on her recent success, 49 DAYS WOMEN WHO COUNT, held in April 2016 at the Arena 1 Gallery in Santa Monica, CA in which she collaborated with Donna Sternberg Dance and 39 female performers. Once again, Silver Simons is seeking to expand her innovative performance portfolio to push new boundaries. Her current collaboration with national award winning composer Michelle Green Willner, DMA, seeks to explore the reverberations of historical trauma across generations. The Museum of Tolerance performance will take place on the anniversary of Kristallnacht and will honor the memory of Elie Wiesel. The evening will include 8 performers, a recitation of Hebrew poetry, and musicians who will perform a musical suite for violin, mezzo-soprano, bass-baritone, and piano.
